To print out PowerPoint notes while saving paper:

  1. Open file in PowerPoint
  2. Click on "File" menu item, then "Print..."
    (For PowerPoint 2007, click on circle, then Print)
  3. On Print dialog, for "Print what:" choose "Handouts"
  4. Choose the slides per page that you want (I like 6),
    then click "OK."

Course Sections

This web site for for Atoms and Stars, IST 2420, Section 001, CRN 12892 for the Fall 2008 semester. This course meets Monday evenings starting Monday, September 8, 2008, 6 PM to 9:40 PM. The class will normally run until the end time. The classroom is 122 Cohn. See the map below.

Required Texts:

1. Atoms and Stars Reader (Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, Wayne State University)
2. Atoms and Stars Lab Manual (Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, Wayne State University)
Texts are shrink-wrapped together, available only from Palmer Printing / 61 West Palmer between Woodward and Cass / 313-831-3216. Both together are $25 cash only. Business hours: 9 - 5 Mon – Fri. Call ahead; they print them as needed.

I know this could be more convenient, but it is about half price compared to other sources we have tried.

If you are looking for a used version, a set from Fall 2006 on will be the same, but versions from earlier semesters will be different. Some student remove pages from the lab manual, so check to make sure that all pages are present.

NOTE: Temperatures in the lab room are extremely unpredictable. Sometimes it will be hot; at other times, cold. DRESS IN LAYERS!!!
