Course Documents
Find all handouts here.
- Syllabus for IST 2420, Atoms and Stars
- Syllabus for IST 1990, Science and Religion
- Using Moodle
- Extra files for IST 1990. See the Instructor for the
password to view these files. Once you enter the password, you can either
download these files, or print them.
- Questions for the Midterm
- Printing the class notes
If you just download and print these notes, they will print one slide per
page, which means a lot of paper. To print multiple slides per sheet of
paper:
- Method 1 (PowerPoint): Use File > Print. On the File Print
dialogue, under "Print what" near the lower left, choose
"Handouts". Then, in the "Handouts" section near the
lower right, choose the number of slides per page that you want. Six
slides per page usually works well
- Method 2 (Both PowerPoint and pdf, but may only work with current
printer drivers): Use File > Print. Click on "Properties"
near the upper right, then on the "Features" tab, and select
the number of "Pages per Sheet" that you want.
- Class 1, January 11
- Class 2, January 18
- Class 3, January 25

- Near Law School, Education, and FAB
- Inside red square on map below

Getting around inside Shapero Hall:
- The classroom for this course is on 3F (Third floor, Front).
- Take elevator to 3F (not 3R)
- Or take stairs to third floor
